My name is Sarah and I’m an EFL teacher – nice to meet you!
I specialise in teaching English as a foreign language to asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants. I run private one-to-one lessons online via Zoom using an extensive range of freely accessible, premium learning resources.
I’ve moved to a foreign country and learned the language myself, so I know how it feels. I was lucky enough to have fun and interesting lessons from a friendly and enthusiastic teacher. So that’s what I’ve been offering to students of all levels for the past three years.

How much do lessons cost?
I know how important it is for people arriving in the UK to learn English, so I make sure my lessons are as affordable as possible.
My standard rate is £20 per lesson, but I also offer a referral discount and a 6-monthly loyalty discount. Please ask me about these during your free consultation.
My Story
I’m a native English speaker who began studying French at school at the age of six, and thanks to an inspirational teacher, I discovered my love for language and culture. So since leaving school, I’ve continued studying online towards a BA Honours Degree in Language Studies with French and Spanish.
At 17, I moved to France as an au pair which led me to discover my passion for teaching English as a foreign language. After returning to the UK and qualifying, I worked for several different organizations teaching online, one-to-one and group EFL lessons to children and adults from all over the world, some of whom were refugees. In between, I gained experience as an SNSA at a secondary school, supporting students with special needs but my heart lead me back to TEFL.
I was frustrated with the prices TEFL companies were charging students, and the specific needs of individuals weren’t being met. I believe in a multicultural society and I’m passionate about helping asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants integrate into the UK, so I decided to start offering private lessons independently. I can’t wait to help you on your EFL journey.
